Happy Holidays! In the season's tradition of giving, this year we have chosen to donate to the Family Service Association of Bucks County (FSA) in lieu of sending our customary printed holiday greeting cards.
Organizations like FSA need more support than ever in these challenging economic times. Established in 1953, FSA is one of the largest non-profit agencies in Bucks County and its reach grows yearly. Of every dollar it receives, FSA applies 90 cents directly to help struggling local individuals, families and communities become healthier and more functional. A few of its many diverse initiatives include:
• Counselors helping people with mental illness return to work
• Support teams guiding at-risk kids through school
• Therapists bringing together single parents and children in foster care
• Educators teaching infant care to low-income parents
• Coordinators managing education, nutrition, transport for those living with HIV
• Caregivers reaching out to older adults in need
• Staff members operating a Teen Center and the Kelly Family Center
FSA serves more than 6,000 people a year solely through grants and donations. To join us in supporting this worthy organization, visit http://www.fsabc.org.
May you enjoy good health, happiness and prosperity in the new year ahead.
